VIDEOS OF GOODNESS WEEK: PLAYING FOR CHANGE
October 15, 2009
Many of you have probably seen at least one (if not a few) video(s) from Playing For Change. I happen to love their videos, their music and their message so much, I had to include them as part of 365′s Videos of Goodness Week!
Playing for Change is a multimedia movement created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The idea for this project arose from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. No matter what geographic, political, economic, spiritual or ideological background people come from, music has the universal power to transcend and unite us as one human race.
This “Playing For Change” idea has spawned quite the movement, including a partnership with a major music label, DVD’s, CD’s, and over 15 million videos views on YouTube. One of my favorite things that has come out of it all, is a wonderful non-profit foundation that is dedicated to connecting the world through music by providing resources (including facilities, supplies, and educational programs) to musicians and their communities around the world. For more information on Playing For Change please check out their website here.
But right now, sit back and enjoy some amazing musical renditions of some of my favorite songs:
ONE LOVE
STAND BY ME
WAR/NO MORE TROUBLE
DON’T WORRY
