FEED 100
October 9, 2009
I am so excited about sharing today’s goodness! I was at my favorite store (none other than… Whole Foods!) where I saw that they were spotlighting their FEED 100 bags. I had noticed these bags before but never paid much attention to them until I saw them featured throughout the store today. I asked one of the friendly employees about the bags and he told me that every bag that is purchased will feed a healthy lunch to 100 children in Rwanda. ”Wow!” I said. He then mentioned that they are featuring the bags because they are on sale right now for $10 (they are normally $30, but Whole Foods is subsidizing the extra cost in order to feed more children at a faster rate–did I mention how much I love Whole Foods?!)
So I quickly purchased the 100 Feed bag and I just love it. Besides helping the children and helping the environment, it’s a great 100% organic cotton bag that fits neatly in this little burlap pouch. I think I might even bring it with us on our travels!
Check out the video below–it’s less than four minutes long and does a great job of informing us about the cause. You can also check out FEED’s web site here. And of course, get on over to Whole Foods today to get yourself a Feed Bag too!
