LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
February 14, 2009
Happy Hearts Day everyone! I hope everyone had a fabulous day and spent it with someone they love (whether that be a parent, child, grandparent, sibling, spouse, significant other, friend, etc.) I shared some Valentine love today in several ways.
As I have mentioned before, I am currently in NYC for work, which meant no Valentine’s Day with the hubs. (A real bummer as it was our first Valentine’s Day together as a married couple!
) I wanted Matt to feel especially loved on V-Day this year, as I was gone for work in NYC last year at this time too! I had arranged with a neighbor for her to deliver a Valentine’s Day package to Matt by leaving it on our doorstep. The first thing this morning when he left the house, he saw a gift bag sitting on the porch that read “I LOVE YOU”. Inside the bag were 2 pairs of heart boxers (gotta love the GAP), a sweet card, and a mixed CD of love songs. Awwwwwww. Not a huge gift per se, but I know Matt was completely surprised and definitely felt the Valentine love from me 3,000 miles away!
To carry on with the love, I left little bags of Valentine candy at my co-workers work stations (we are working at a huge convention center here in NYC.) I also sent 15 Valentine cards to my closest friends and family. There is still something exciting about getting real mail these days that isn’t a bill or a catalog! Each card was written from the heart and I let all of them know how much I love and care for each of them, and how extremely blessed I feel to have them as part of my life. These cards were the perfect and unexpected way to express my gratitude and love to those who make me a better me!

Happy Hearts Day!

Aww, that is so sweet! May I be blessed to end up with someone as thoughtful and caring as you!
