A BEAUTIFUL MORNING!

Today was a beautiful day in New York City;  50 degrees with sunshine!  I was especially happy about the weather, as I had been warned about NYC being completely frigid with snowstorms lately.  50 degrees was a wonderful surprise!

I went down to my hotel lobby this morning before work and grabbed some coffee.  Then, I decided to get an extra coffee.  I wanted to give it someone on this beautiful morning as a random act of kindness.  (Remember it’s Random Act of Kindness Week this week! )  Right when I walked out of my hotel, I spotted my culprit.  The person who would enjoy their morning cup of joe on me!   My hotel is on a street that has some construction going on, therefore, there was lots of traffic.   Many cab drivers were idling.  I walked up to the one that I had spotted.  He had his window down “Good morning,” I said

“Good morning,” he said a little startled,  “do you need a ride?”

“Nope.” I said.  “I’m gonna walk on this beautiful morning, but I got you some coffee.”

“You got me coffee?” He asked incredulously.

“Yep.” I said, as I handed him the cup.  “Have a great day!  Enjoy this beautiful weather!”

“I will!  You too! Thanks!”  He said as he happily took the coffee.

I walked off into the sunshine ready to embrace the day.  It was only 8:30 am (5:30 am LA time!) and I had already done my good deed for the day!
