A DAY OF SERVICE TO HONOR DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.

President-elect Barack Obama called today “A Day Of Service” in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. He wanted everyone to spend their “day off” as a “day on” by volunteering and remembering this amazing man. Well, I did just that! I spent a few hours beautifying an elementary school in Downtown, Los Angeles. I was one of over 500 volunteers that turned out to help paint murals, clean, and make the elementary school into a warm and welcoming environment for the students. It was a great time, and it was so nice to be around so many volunteers who had the same overall goal: To help! Check out the video:
